This face mask contains bee venom which naturally occurs in the manuka honey we use instead of farmed bee venom.
We feel farmed bee venom is a rather cruel method of gathering bee venom as the bees are given tiny electric shock to make them angry, therefore they release their venom (bee sting). Keep the bees happy we say!
When you apply our face mask immediately the micro-swelling effect of bee venom firms and plumps your skin, which reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. This is not just a temporary measure.
When used regularly, the bee venom will stimulate collagen production, elastin production and skin renewal, providing long term rejuvenation of your skin. Instead of thanking your lucky stars for your new youthful look, thank the little busy bees.
Experience the skin care miracle that is manuka honey. This super food originates from honeybees that gather nectar from the flowers of the Manuka bush which is indigenous only to New Zealand.
The manuka bush grows in wild, uncultivated areas and this is where the bee keepers set up their hives. The honey making process is enriched by the pollution free environment of New Zealand.
Manuka honey will clear away your old, dead skin cells revealing new, fresh, younger looking skin underneath.
The unique properties of active manuka honey make it one of the most biologically active and beneficial honeys for the skin. It’s perfect to enhance your skin’s renewal process therefore it has great anti-ageing properties.
Discover for yourself why the Queen Bee is only fed food fit for a queen.
The Queen bee lives 40 times longer than her workers thanks to the miraculous nutritional value of royal jelly, which she is solely fed.
Her eating habit means she becomes almost twice the size and more than double the weight of other female bees, despite having no genetic advantage.
With its abundant nutrients, royal jelly will help protect your skin form harmful UV radiation, stimulate collagen growth and prevent abnormal colouring of your skin.

Bee Venom – Studies have shown it boosts the number of cells called keratinocytes which act as a barrier against environmental factors such as bacteria, water loss and sun damage.
Keratinocyte are cells in the top layer of the skin which are needed to keep us looking youthful but as we age skin cell numbers decrease leading to a reduction in skin elasticity and the formation of fine lines and wrinkles.
Purified bee venom has been proven to increase keratinocyte numbers, in turn improving skin elasticity.
Exposure to the sun is one of the main causes of wrinkles because UV light increases levels of proteins which are responsible for the degradation of collagen in the skin.
This is what leaves it lacking in elasticity, sagging and wrinkling as we age.
Manuka Honey – A natural anti-microbial, the power of honey to stimulate wound healing and promote healthy skin is well documented and scientifically proven.
It is extensively used on the skin in hospitals for its anti-microbial and anti-bacterial properties and to stimulate the immune system, providing nutrients for cell metabolism and rapid tissue repair.
It naturally contains acids, which aid in the clearing of old, dead skin cells revealing new, fresh, younger looking skin underneath.
The nutrients, vitamins, amino acids and minerals in active manuka honey give it special qualities.
The bio-activity of manuka honey, referred to as the unique manuka factor (UMF), is associated with the strong anti-microbial activity of this honey against the bacteria E. coli and Staph. aureus, major sources of skin and wound infections.
It works as a humectant, drawing moisture into the skin, leaving the skin supple and moisturised and the unique properties of active manuka honey make it one of the most biologically active and beneficial honeys for the skin.
It's perfect to enhance your skin's renewal process therefore it has great anti-ageing properties.
Royal Jelly – As skin ages, its ability to regenerate and repair itself is diminished. Skin becomes thinner, collagen production slows down, and moisture levels reduce.
Fortunately, royal jelly is capable of reversing many of these ageing effects. It contains a variety of vitamins and nutrients that are vital in both the regeneration of skin and the creation of collagen.
This nutrient has been studied for its qualities in protecting the skin from the damaging effects of ultraviolet radiation from the sun.
This radiation causes damage to the collagen that supports the skin, causing wrinkling. The damaging rays also cause unwanted brown discolouration of the skin.
But royal jelly, with its abundant nutrient content, helps protect the skin from this harmful radiation. Collagen can be stimulated to grow and abnormal colouring of the skin prevented.
Beeswax – Beeswax contains fatty acids, anti-inflammatory compounds and powerful antioxidants making it extremely potent for reducing signs of ageing.
When added to skin care products, beeswax acts as an emollient and a humectant, drawing moisture to the skin and sealing it in.
Beeswax also contains vitamin A, which is beneficial in softening and rehydrating dry skin and in cell reconstruction.
Rosehip Oil – This has been clinically proven to improve the skins appearance by regenerating skin cells.
It is rich in topical trans-retinoic acid (vitamin A) and vitamin C and is used by dermatologists to increase collagen production in the dermis.
Dermatologists say retinoic acid is the 'Gold Standard' in anti-ageing skin care.
Research published in the Journal of Dermatological Science reported that treatment with retinoic acid restored the elastic fibres that keep skin taut and reduced the appearance of wrinkles.
Argan Oil – This is nutrient rich and contains essential fatty acids, vitamin E, polyphenols, carotenoids, ferulic acid and triterpenoids.
These components are important in making the body healthy, particularly the skin.
The fatty acids help restore the skin’s integrity and natural barrier and the antioxidants protect and reverse the effects of environmental damage on the skin.
Ferulic acid in argan oil helps neutralize free radicals and protect the skin from UV damage.
Moreover, because of the presence of triterpenoids that protect from outside elements, argan oil can keep the skin well-hydrated, smooth and increase elasticity.
Argan oil contains phytosterols, which lend anti-ageing benefits by promoting new collagen production that is lost from sun exposure and ageing.
One of the contributing factors in the ageing of the skin is the breakdown and loss of collagen (the main component in connective skin tissue) and sun exposure is a major contributor to the problem.
As the body ages, it is not able to produce collagen as it once did.
The National Institutes of Health reports on a study out of Germany in which various topical preparations were tested on skin for 10 days.
The topical treatment that showed anti-ageing benefits to the skin was the one that contained phytosterols and other natural fats.
It is reported that phytosterols not only stopped the slow-down of collagen production that can be caused by the sun, it actually encouraged new collagen production.
Jojoba Oil – A study published in "Pharmacology Research" in 2005 found jojoba oil reduced inflammation.
Since inflammation is a major contributing factor to the ageing process it reduces the effect of ageing.
